Event and participation
The North Texas Game Jam is a two-day in-person game and software development event organized by SOVEREIGNify, LLC. Activities include collaborative building, presentations, judging, shared meals, use of personal and shared equipment, and interaction with participants, mentors, judges, and volunteers.
Released parties
For this agreement, “Released Parties” means SOVEREIGNify, LLC, its organizers, volunteers, mentors and judges; ALLUVIUM HEALTH, INC, which is providing the Event premises; and each of their respective owners, members, officers, directors, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, and insurers. ALLUVIUM HEALTH, INC provides the premises only and does not organize, supervise, staff, or operate the Event.
Assumption of risk
I understand that participation involves ordinary risks associated with an in-person event, including slips, trips, falls, minor injury, electrical equipment and cabling, food-related reactions, illness, travel to and from the Event, and the conduct of other people present. I knowingly and voluntarily accept these risks.
Release
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release, waive, and discharge the Released Parties from claims, demands, actions, damages, costs, and expenses arising from my presence at or participation in the Event, including claims arising from ordinary negligence, except claims that cannot lawfully be released.
Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties, including ALLUVIUM HEALTH, INC, from third-party claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or reasonable costs arising from my acts or omissions, violation of Event rules, or damage I cause to the premises or property.
Medical care
I authorize Event organizers to contact emergency medical services and take reasonable steps necessary to protect my immediate health and safety. I remain responsible for the cost of medical care provided to me.
Conduct
I agree to follow the Event Code of Conduct, organizer instructions, and applicable premises rules. Organizers may remove me from the Event for violating these requirements.
Parent/legal guardian (required if participant is under 18)
I am the parent or legal guardian of the participant named above. I consent to their participation in the Event and agree to the applicable terms of this agreement on my own behalf and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, on behalf of the participant. I will remain reasonably reachable during the Event and will collect the participant, or authorize another adult to do so, if Event organizers require it.
